I’m Machael Ellakkis, a Canadian writer with a journey as complex and layered as the stories I tell. I was born and raised in a region overshadowed by chaos, where I earned my first degree in engineering amidst the turbulence of war. Despite the immense challenges, I built a successful career in Kuwait before moving to Canada in 2013, driven by the hope of creating a brighter future for my four children.
As a lifelong learner, I’ve pursued degrees in engineering, computer science, and mobile application development. But beyond academics, my greatest lessons came from life itself. Growing up as an orphan alongside my ill mother in a crowded household taught me resilience, perseverance, and the quiet strength of self-discovery—threads that naturally weave into my writing.
Burning Beneath is my debut novel—a thought-provoking exploration of hidden minds and the relentless search for self-understanding.
When I’m not writing, I treasure every moment with my children, dive into new creative projects, and spend time reflecting on life’s deeper questions. Through my work, I hope to inspire readers to embrace their own journeys and uncover the strength that lies within them.
